Course Description

Introduces the apprenticeship industry and the requirements necessary to enter an apprenticeship program. Includes basic employability skills like finding employment opportunities, communication, and basic resume writing. P/NP grading.

Course learning outcomes

1. Use construction trade language and vocabulary with proficiency to communicate verbally and in writing with team members, supervisors, consultants, vendors and customers.
2. Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively represent oneself and appropriately interact in workplace relationships.
3. Career pathway identification through industry exposure activities.
