Course Description

The course content will include mathematics, mensuration, applied mechanics, thermodynamics, steam and internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbines, refrigeration, air compression, and lubrication.

Course learning outcomes

1. Student will solve basic mathematics, trigonometry and algebra problems and perform metric and English conversions.
2. Student will demonstrate an understanding of the basic fundamentals of Applied Mechanics and Thermodynamics.
3. Student will demonstrate an understanding of the basic fundamentals of steam and internal combustion engines and steam and gas turbines.
4. Student will demonstrate an understanding of the basic fundamental of refrigeration, air compression and lubrication.
