Course Description

Introduces professional techniques for generating vector art and graphics. Covers visual problem solving and the process of creating vector illustrations using industry standard software through the use of reference and research. Repeatable for credit.

Course learning outcomes

1. Use industry-specific vocabulary when discussing vector illustration.
2. Produce vector art and graphics using industry standard software.
3. Apply best practice of digital files for organization and collaboration.
4. Prepare work for various forms of print and digital output.
5. Use media-specific terminology to receive and provide feedback.

  4. Pattern design
  5. Illustration using type
  6. Constructive critique, giving and receiving feedback between instructor and classmates.
