Course Description

Covers the fundamentals of airplane flight, flight operations, airplane performance, navigation, airplane systems, aeronautical publications, airplane flight maneuvers, flight planning, radio procedures, meteorology, and human factors.

Course learning outcomes

1. Explain fundamental concepts of airplanes and powered flight.
2. Recall basic function of airplane engines, airplane systems and flight instruments.
3. Identify the essential aeronautical and aerodynamic concepts of airplane flight.
4. Demonstrate the fundamentals of airplane performance calculations and flight planning.
