Course Description

Introduces fundamental aspects of architectural drafting with AutoDESK Revit software. Covers drafting of residential and light commercial buildings, sections and elevations, schedules, design layouts, details and working drawings.

Course learning outcomes

1. Recognize techniques utilized by the architectural profession to create three-dimensional technical models from architectural drawings.
2. Use Building Information Modeling (BIM) software for creation of digital building models.
3. Define architectural and design terminology necessary to proficiently operate BIM software.
