Course Description
Final medical assisting lecture and lab class focusing on skills related to specialty practice, office management, national exam passage and job acquisition. Topics include assisting with specialty exams, management tools, and specialty-specific diagnostic procedures and treatments. Students will prepare resumes and practice job interview skills. National exam material is reviewed.
Course learning outcomes
1. Demonstrate effective and compentent preparation of patients for and assist clinicians with specialty clinical examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
2. Demonstrate readiness for passing the national certification examination.
3. Demonstrate knowlege and skills necessary to work effectively with clinical specialists within specialty clinics.
