Course Description
Introduces advanced principles in the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding of various joint configurations, specialized uses of the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding process, applications for the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Process, and welding variables in the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Process.
Course learning outcomes
1. Demonstrate safe practices in the MATC Welding Lab using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) processes.
2. Model proper setup, troubleshooting, and operation of GTAW equipment.
3. Weld common joint assemblies using the GTAW process to welding industry standards.
4. Evaluate GTAW welds using advanced level evaluation possesses and practices in accordance with welding industry standards.
