Course Description

Focuses on identifying and ordering sheet metal materials plus the safe storage and handling of those materials. Includes OSHA safety regulations and fork lift operation and safety.

Course learning outcomes

1. Student will order the correct size and length of material based on the type and grade of sheet metal.
2. Student will store sheet metal based on specific storage and handling requirements.
3. Student will follow OSHA safety regulations while moving and storing sheet metal.
4. Student will operate a fork lift safely, being ready to take the exam for an operator’s license.
