Course Description
Introduces experimental printing methods in single and multiple colors. Incorporates bookmaking into the art of printmaking. Emphasizes individualized, personal expression and exploration. Repeatable for credit.
Course learning outcomes
1. Demonstrate the printing processes of monotype, monoprint, trace monotype, and collagraph.
2. Use an etching press to work chine collé techniques into prints.
3. Demonstrate the art of blind embossing.
4. Create a handmade book of original prints.
5. Contextualize print projects using research.
6. Use media-specific terminology to receive and provide feedback.
