Description

Introduction to the Automotive program. Provides an introduction of the fundamental principles of automotive shop safety and tool care. Guidance given on the self-paced course format. This course is required prior to taking any automotive course. This is a three-day, intensive course that is only taught at the beginning of each term. Permissible to be taken in a term along with other automotive courses.

Learning outcomes

1. Develop a plan for completing a certificate, or degree, in the Automotive Technology Program.
2. Describe the fundamental principles of automotive shop safety and tool care.
3. Design a plan that can accomplish the self–paced basic skills classes within the term.
