Oregon State University (OSU)'s general education requirements are named Core Education; Core Education launched in summer 2025. The Baccalaureate Core or "Bacc Core" was the previous general education component of undergraduate education at OSU through the end of spring term 2025; "Bacc Core" and Core Education differ significantly. Any student admitted to OSU from summer 2025 onwards is required to fulfill the Core Education requirements. Students intending to transfer to OSU can fulfill the "Foundational Core" components of Core Education at COCC; the "Signature Core" components are upper division work.
