Course Description
Introduces the study of women, gender, and crime. Emphasis is placed on women’s roles as victims, offenders, and professionals in the criminal justice system, as well as the influence of gender on crime and justice responses.
Course learning outcomes
1. List major theories about women, gender, and crime.
2. Define key terms related to gender and justice.
3. Summarize the roles of women as victims, offenders, and workers in the justice system.
4. Classify examples of crimes or justice responses by gender-related categories.
