Description

Explore Transportation, Industrial Trades and Apprenticeship Associate of General Studies (AGS) is designed for students who wish to explore their options in the fields of Automotive, Aviation, Pre-Apprenticeship, and Manufacturing Technology. The AGS introduces students to careers, skill sets required for employment, hands-on learning opportunities, and degree pathways within each program. Ideally, students in this degree will choose a more specific field of study within their first year. It is important for a student to work closely with an academic advisor in designing a course plan.

While this degree has no formal entrance requirements, individual courses may have prerequisites which must be met before enrollment.

Choose one math course from either the general education mathematics list or the related instruction computation list.

WR 122Z Composition II and WR 227Z Technical Writing are designed as a sequence to follow WR 121Z Composition I. Consult with an advisor to determine the best selection between BA 214 Business Communications, WR 122Z Composition II, and WR 227Z Technical Writing.

Performance Standards

• Academic Requirements:

  • Students must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA to earn a COCC certificate or degree.
  • All general education courses in the program must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
