Description
Pending approval from the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC).
The Welding Technology Career Pathway Certificate provides students with a short-term, concentrated training in Gas Metal Arc Welding, Cutting Processes and Blueprint reading, giving students the opportunity to seek employment as a production welder, welder helper, or as an entry-level fabrication helper.
Program Learning Outcomes

- Apply and demonstrate entry-level welding skills based on current industry needs.

Manufacturing Technology courses are structured to enable students to meet benchmarks through the completion of labs and hands-on projects. Please connect with a manufacturing/welding advisor before registering for classes.
Upon starting their program, students review their desired certificate or degree outcome with their advisor. Students should continue to meet with their advisors on a continuous basis to ensure they remain on track for degree completion.
This certificate is designed for students to directly enter the manufacturing workforce. Transferability of course credits to the degree programs of other public or private institutions is dependent on those institutions' policies.
